Quick answer

Avanafil is a prescription medicine for erectile dysfunction. It is one of the fastest-acting PDE5 inhibitors, often working within 15 to 30 minutes, and lasts up to about 6 hours. Like sildenafil and tadalafil, it must never be taken with nitrate heart medicines.

How does avanafil work?

Tablets come in 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg strengths, taken as needed about 15 to 30 minutes before sex, with or without food. Your doctor will decide the strength. Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.
